Shipping Policy

American Feeder Co. LLC ships live feeder insects and supplies throughout the United States of America. Please read this policy carefully before placing your order.


1. Processing Times

Orders are typically processed within 1–3 business days. Orders containing live insects may not ship on weekends to avoid delays and ensure live arrival.

High-volume periods, inventory shortages, or extreme weather may extend processing time slightly.


2. Shipping Methods

We offer several shipping options at checkout, including:

  • USPS Live Pickup (Hold for Pickup)Recommended for live insects

  • USPS Ground Advantage / Priority Mail

  • UPS (if available)

Not all methods are available for all products or regions. Some products may be restricted to Hold for Pickup only depending on temperature or transit duration.


3. Live Product Handling & Arrival Expectations

For live insect orders:

  • You must choose a shipping method that supports safe delivery (ideally Hold for Pickup).

  • We are not responsible for live product loss due to customer unavailability, failure to pick up, or package forwarding.

  • DOA claims must be submitted within 1 hour of delivery, with full documentation (see our Refund & Return Policy).


4. State Restrictions & Legality

It is your responsibility to ensure that the products you order are legal to possess in your state, county, or city. We do not ship live insects to locations where they are prohibited.

If you forward our package to a restricted state (e.g., Florida, Hawaii, etc.) using a third-party mail forwarder or re-shipper, you assume full legal liability. We will not provide refunds, reships, or guarantees for orders rerouted to illegal destinations.


5. Third-Party Fulfillment & Dropshipping

To keep up with demand or due to supply chain constraints, we may use third-party fulfillment partners or dropshippers. These partners may ship from separate facilities or be listed as the sender on your package.

Regardless of the origin, your order is still managed and supported by American Feeder Co.


6. Shipping Costs

Shipping charges are calculated at checkout based on weight, destination, and selected method. We may offer free shipping promotions or bulk order discounts from time to time.


7. Carrier Responsibility & Delays

Once your package is scanned by USPS or any third-party carrier, risk of loss transfers to the customer. We are not responsible for shipping delays, damage, or lost packages caused by the carrier.

During extreme weather or holiday periods, please allow extra time.
